Get the Look: Kendall Jenner.

You know, I can't even remember the last time I did one of these - let me check...

Ok, so it was September 2014. Woah. That was a hella long time ago. 

Back then I said I wanted to make these 'Get the Look' posts a frequent addition to my blog - obviously I skimped a little on the frequent part, so from here on out I aim to make them a monthly instalment.

Fingers crossed. 

So enough of my babbling and onto the actual look...

Kendall Jenner is stunning. There really is no other term to describe the girl - in fact all of the Kardashians are absolutely gorgeous (did anyone else catch Khloe's abs pic on instagram last night? time for me to kick it up a gear). 

When Kendall posted this picture on her insta around Christmas time last year I completely fell head over heels for her makeup. However I am no Joyce Bonelli ( the Kardashians' MUA of choice) so I had to improvise to re-create this look and I was pleased with the finished look. This look would be great for a night out with your girls or any sort of party you might be attending - or you could pair the eyes with a nude lip to make it more daytime.

First off, I primed my skin with Benefit's PoreFessional. It's not my favourite primer but it works well enough to keep my foundation from slipping and sliding. Kendall's skin looks flawless in the picture so I used my trusty NARS Sheer Glow with my MAC 187 stippling brush to give my complexion some radiance and make it look as faultless as possible. I just freakin' love this foundation. 

Using a combination of Maybelline's The Eraser and Loreal's True Match, I concealed any under eye circles, redness and blemishes blending all of that in with the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion sponge. 

Kendall has bushy yet polished brows so I tried my best to emulate that but we all know my issues with my brows - 'nough said. I used the Maybelline Brow Satin to add colour and shape to the uncooperative blighters. 

I left my skin un-powdered for the time being and moved straight onto contour. Taking Benefit's Hoola and the little brush that comes with it, I carved out my cheekbones and added a little to the top of my forehead, around my temples and under my jawline. Kendall's face is quite sharply defined - she is a model after all. I blended all of that out with the Real Techniques buffing brush. I also added a small amount of NYX's Angel to my cheeks for a subtle rosiness, Kendall doesn't look like she's wearing any blush in the picture but her skin's much more tanned than mine and I can tend to look a little harsh and washed out with just contour and no blush.

I then moved onto the eyeshadow. I used shades solely from the Makeup Revolution Iconic 1 palette, and it's only £4.00! 

First off taking that bronze shade under the middle arrow I applied this to the outer 2/3 of my eye with my Real Techniques domed shadow brush. I then blended the edges with a fluffy blending brush. I then sweeped the golden shade under the first arrow over the inner 1/3 of my eye, over the tear duct and a 1/3 of the way along the lower lashline - this created a really lovely golden highlight similar to Kendall's. Grabbing that bronze shade again, I ran that under the remainder of my lower lashline, blending it all together as I went. Taking my Real Techniques duo-fiber eye brush, I swirled it into the darker brown shade under the third arrow and focused this on the outer part of my eye, winging it out as I blended (Kendall's shadow looks extremely winged out underneath her hair). I then blended that colour into the crease a little. I left out a brow highlight as I didn't think Kendall was wearing one, however you could add a light coloured, matte eyeshadow for a subtle highlight if you wanted to.

After giving my lashes a curl, I applied quite a few coats of the Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara. This mascara's great for adding length, separation and volume without any clumpiness or flakiness. It's become a firm favourite in my makeup bag recently. 

Before powdering my t-zone with the Bourjois Healthy Balance powder, I dusted a little of Soap & Glory's Glow All Out to the tops of my cheekbones, the centre of my nose and my cupid's bow so I could at least attempt to rival Kendall's.

Moving onto the bold lip, I didn't bother to line my lips because - to be frank - I forgot. However if I was to wear this on a night out, I'd definitely make sure to line my lips so it lasted longer. I took the Loreal Collection Exclusive in Blake's Red to give my pout a similar hue to Kendall's.

I've been loving wearing this makeup look recently as it's fairly different to what I usually go for. The golden inner corner highlight gets alot of compliments I can assure you. Now if I could only convince my face to morph into Kendall Jenner's and my bank account to do the same, my life would be complete.
