My makeup Bag: The Desert Island edition.

So Netflix has recently started streaming Lovewrecked - yes, I am a little partial to a soppy romcom occasionally, and I actually was a fan of Amanda Bynes before she went a bit doolally - and it got me thinking if I actually was stranded on a desert island what makeup would I like to have with me? Obvs, if I was stranded I doubt I'd have any makeup with me but if I was allowed to choose then that'd be great. So I shopped my stash and pulled out the things I reckon would be a necessity on a desert island.
Here's what I came up with...

I wouldn't take a foundation since more often than not, desert islands tend to be hot and the last time I checked foundation and humidity don't really like to co-exist side by side. I, instead, opted for my trusty Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer to cover any blemishes or redness and it lasts ages too. To set my concealer and help de-shine, I'd bring along my Soap & Glory One Heck of a Blot powder.
I'd pack my Rimmel Stay Blushed Liquid Cheek Tint and my Natural Collection Bronzer to add some colour to my face in the (hopefully) blistering heat. The Maybelline Brow Drama would be good to just add a little colour to my brows and keep them in place.
I'd try to keep my products as cream based as possible because they can be applied and blended with fingers, just like this No7 Instant Radiance Highlighter which is a lovely subtle, champagne-y coloured highlighter.
For the eyes, I've brought two products. My MAC paint pot in Groundwork just to add a little colour and definition to my eyelids and then Maybelline the Falsies Waterproof Mascara to lengthen and volumise my lashes - and make sure it doesn't run should I need to go fishing for food.
I'd bring my Palmer's Cocoa Butter Lip balm to keep my lips moisturised and flake-free, this also contains SPF 15 for that burning heat. I'd also bring a bold lip colour - you never know who's going to be around - so Rimmel's Moisture Renew Lipstick in In Love With Ginger is the perfect shade.

As far as brushes go, I wouldn't want to bring a shedload so I managed to narrow it down to two. The Real Techniques Multi-task Brush for bronzer and powder and the Real Techniques Domed Shadow brush for any blending - face or eyes. Both of these brushes come in the Travel Essentials kit so they're perfect really.

Extras
These are bits that aren't technically classed as makeup, but they are still beauty products and I'd definitely like to have these things around if I was to get stranded.

A mirror - Self explanatory really. How else would you apply your makeup?
SPF - Another Self Explanatory product. You're going to need sun protection if you're constantly going to be exposed to the heat.
Hair Oil - For brightening and nourishing purposes. Salt water isn't great for the hair.
Salt Spray - Even though I have just said salt water isn't great for your hair (which it isn't), there's no point in having it look terrible too. Salt Spray is a must for being beside the sea.
A wide toothed comb - This'll make it easier to comb through all those knots and tangles that the sea's left in your hair - and just brushing through your hair in general.
Perfume - it's always important to smell nice. Deodorant wouldn't go amiss either.
