From Fatigued to Fabulous - 3 Winter skin perk-ups.

Finally! the winter chill is upon us! I bought my first jumper of the season yesterday - not that I need anymore - and it was very exciting indeed, almost rite-of-passage like.
But like the brisk air, dehydration is also making it's rounds on our unsuspecting skin.
Our skin is a delicate thing. It's the biggest organ of our bodies and the only one exposed to the elements - most notably the Summer heat and the Winter freeze.
It's important we keep it in check with all of our lotions and potions - yes, go ahead and spend all of your money on expensive skincare, I'm encouraging it in this post.
However, thirst isn't the only battle our skin is fighting during the colder months - dullness is another.
This is where makeup can help you out - and I can point you in the right direction.

During Autumn/Winter my skin get's exceptionally dry, so luminous primers become one of my very good friends. They're great for adding radiance and brightness to my usually tired-looking skin. A favourite of mine at the moment is Bourjois' Happy Light luminous serum primer - this illuminates the complexion and contributes towards your skin's hydration too. It feels light on the skin, blends beautifully and sinks in quickly.
On the more expenny end of the drugstore scale at £10.99 but it's worth it. I'm a devotee to the matte version of this in the summer and they both work like a dream.
A dewy-finish base is another good call for sallow-looking skin. The Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation is an anti-fatigue formula, adds a radiant glow to the skin and also aids in the minimisation of premature skin ageing. It contains tiny shimmers known as Radiance Pearls that reflect the light to make the skin appear more awake and glowy. For all it does and helps with, this foundation is a steal at £8.99.
Lastly is one of my favourite beauty products - highlighter. Now, I never really used to be massive on highlighter. Heather and Kate were the highlight junkies - Heather swears by Benefit's Watt's Up - so I just used to borrow one of theirs if I wanted to wear it. However, I've been converted and recently picked up this one - No7 Instant Radiance Highlighter. It's a beautiful, champagney-toned colour and looks gorgeous blended on the tops of the cheekbones, down the bridge of the nose and on the cupid's bow. At £9.95, you don't have to rob a bank to get that sought after dewy look.

And there you have it.
3 beauty pick-ups for sallow skin perk-ups.
