The Purse Friendly Face Masks.

I love a good face mask. Especially when said face mask is inexpensive - aint nobody got time for those Aesop price tags. I recently saw these on the shelves of Superdrug and figured at £2.59 each, it's not a massive bother if I don't like them.
I originally wanted the Aloe Vera mud mask and the Vitamin E moisture mask but I could only manage to get a hold of one of them - so I picked up the Dead Sea Mud mud mask instead. The Aloe Vera one must be pretty popular, I checked again yesterday on my way to work and they didn't have any in stock then either.
The Vitamin E moisture mask is definitely my favourite out of the two. It smells lush and it adds a really good amount of hydration without leaving my skin feeling greasy. I thought this would be a good option since we're coming into Winter and dehydration is the battle we're all facing at the moment. You just pop this on like any other mask and let it sink in, after 10/15 minutes you tissue off any excess that might still be on your face and voila.
The Dead Sea Mud mud mask isn't for everyone - especially those with sensitive skin this is a total no go. It works, it works really well and your skin does feel super smooth and invigorated afterwards...but this left my face bright red for about 15 minutes after taking it off and my skin is hardly sensitive. However, I've never used a dead sea mud mask before so I'm wondering if I may be allergic to it? I'm going to give it another go at a later date and see if the same thing happens.
I think I'm going to pick up the Aloe Vera mud mask as well though as this sounds alot more gentle and maybe a little more up my street.

  2. I'm always looking for new face masks to try - I'll have to look out for these when I next pop in to superdrug. One of my favourites at the moment is the 'No Clogs Allowed' heat up mask from Soap and Glory - it's not too expensive but just feels so lovely on the skin.
