The Winter Uniform: cosy knits and bold lips.

Come winter time, it almost becomes compulsory to don snuggly jumpers and break out the berry lips.
Well, it's something I like to do all year round - yes, I wear jumpers in the summer - but at least I have a good excuse in Winter. I am definitely more of a Winter dresser, there's nothing more exciting for me than heading into town armed only with my debit card and the knowledge of that year's Autumn/Winter trends. I just find shopping for Winter alot easier and alot more enjoyable than shopping for Summer. I'm more at home wrapped up in a checkered boyfriend coat and a scarf than I am a smock dress and sandals...like I actually own any sandals. Seriously, I don't.
Winter's the time to really focus on the art of simplicity when it comes to your style and makeup. It's completely acceptable to just wear black leggings throughout the entire season and switch up your top half. The same way it's totally acceptable to just lash on a bit of mascara if you're rocking the red lip.
I do like to make a little more effort. I like to incorporate some sort of red into my outfits because it makes me feel a little more festive - after all, Christmas will be here before we know it and I like to stick a more berry-toned blush on my cheeks and crack out the winged eyeliner.
So since the sun's going in and the chill's coming out, it's about time again to bring out the thermals, invest in some woolly pullovers and treat yourself to a daring red lip and your Winter uniform is complete.
