My hair Saviours.

I'm not a massive hair care person. I have a box of products beneath my dressing table that I tend to rummage through if I'm ever looking to spruce my bonce up abit, but other than that, I don't really do much to it other than straighten it after a shower and sleep in a french braid to give it some wave.
That being said, I do have three products that I've repurchased time and time again because I've come to realise I just can't be without them.

What you probably don't already know is that, from the ages of 14 to 18,  I had long black hair. Yes, black hair, that went pretty much all the way down my back. It was in awful condition. For starters, I did it myself using Boot's own box dye, I never used heat protectant, I rarely brushed it, I never had it cut and to top it all off, I didn't even use conditioner because back then, I preferred that birds nest look and conditioner made my hair too soft.
In other words, I was completely naive about what my hair needed to be nourished and in some sort of decent shape.
So in January of last year, I decided to chop it all off to within an inch of my shoulders and ombre it. This time I made much better decisions about it. I used a professional hairdresser for one and now I'm much happier with the cut, colour and condition of my hair.
I use the John Frieda Elixir and the Aussie conditioning spray on wet hair after every shower. I just pop a few pumps through the ends of my hair. Not only is the Elixir a heat protectant, it's infused with Argan and Sunflower oils so it adds nourishment to my hair whilst also adding shine, it's also part of John Frieda's Go Blonder range so my ombre is alot lighter now since I've been using it in conjunction with the Go Blonder shampoo and conditioner.  The Aussie conditioning spray smells amazing and I spritz this through my hair as high as I can without spraying directly onto the roots. I find this combination of products has really added life back into my hair and it looks much healthier than it did before.
The Batiste dry shampoo is more of an everyday product for me. Not only does it act as an on-the-spot hair cleaner but it adds volume, which is something that freshly washed hair tends to lack. They come in a range of different scents so there's one to suit everyone.

Although my hair is still a work in progress and I probably still don't brush it as often as I should,  a year and a half down the line I'm definitely alot happier with it.
