What's on my face.

Hello lovely readers!
My apologies for not posting in FOREVER. I feel like I've had so much on that I've not even had time to just sit down and write anything!
Today's post will contain what I've been wearing make-up wise lately - it's sort of 90's inspired, although Kylie Jenner has been rocking a similar look recently - buuuuut without further ado, welcome to today's Make-up Menu.

Base wise, I've been prepping my face with LaRoche-Posay's Effaclar Mat as my main moisturiser before dabbing on some of Bourjois' Happy Light Matte Primer in my t-zone to keep my skin looking as matte as possible throughout the day. Y'all know how I suffer from OSS, (oily skin syndrome) so it's important to make sure the face is properly prepped before applying any make-up to the face whatsoever. This is the product combination that's been working best for me this summer.
Since I've also been fake tanning, I've been mixing a couple (or on occasion, few) of my foundations together to create a colour that matches my fake tan the best - if any of you are wondering, I use Rimmel's Sun shimmer instant tan (the water resistant version). I've been using a combination of Rimmel's Wake Me Up foundation in 100 Ivory and Bourjois' Happy Light Foundation in 51 Rose Vanilla. However, neither of these foundations have particularly great staying power, so on some occasions - i.e when I can be bothered - I'll add in a teeny bit of MAC's studio fix fluid in NW10 but only a really small amount otherwise my foundation becomes too light. To some of you, this may seem like a massive faff, but to me it's more worth it than going out and buying a £25 foundation in a darker shade that I'm going to use for 2 maybe 3 months and then never use it again until the following year.
Moving on to eyebrows, nothing really has changed in my eyebrow routine. I'm still using my Sleek Eyebrow Stylist in 716 Light - for me, this product has now gained holy grail status in the Warby Hall of Fame. It's bloody brilliant and I refuse to use anything else on my brows.
Concealer wise, I've been using Rimmel's Wake me Up concealer in 020 True Ivory. Disclaimer: I only picked this one up because I couldn't find Collection's Lasting Perfection Concealer in 3 Dark in stock in any of my local Boots' or Superdrugs and I needed a darker shade to match my tan. This concealer hasn't got as much coverage as the Collection one but I do find that it sits much nicer under the eyes and for £5.49, it'll do.
For blush, I've been using Rimmel's Stay Blushed Liquid Cheek Tint in 004 Sunkissed Cherry. It provides a nice flush of colour to the cheeks without looking too overdone, and it's really blendable. I've seriously been enjoying this product lately and will no doubt be taking it into my autumn/winter make-up routine.
I've, of course, still been using my Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in 001 Transparent this summer to set all of my foundation and concealer, although, I did find it was setting my make-up a little too light. So I picked up Bourjois' Healthy Balance Powder in 53 Light Beige just to keep the colour of my make-up looking darker. I'd heard alot of good things about this product so I thought I'd give it a go myself, and boy does it smell good! if you guys have ever used this before or the foundations from the Healthy Balance range you'll know what I'm talking about, it smells exactly the same - delicious! I'll definitely be picking up the lighter shade for winter.
Onto bronzer/contour. I've been using a mixture of NYX's Powder Blush in PB11 Taupe and Sleek's Contour Kit in Light to get my Cara Delevingne-esque sculpted cheekbones. The sleek kit is a new find of mine on a recommendation from Kate - and I love it!
For bronzer, I've been using Natural Collection's Bronzer in Golden Glow and at £1.99, it's an absolute steal! To finish off the face, I've been using Soap & Glory's Glow All Out highlighter on the tops of my cheekbones or if I can't be bothered getting that out, then I'll use the highlighter shade that comes with the Sleek Contour kit - I love both!
Onto my eyes. I've been loving MAC's Soba all over the lid and Urban Decay's Faint in the crease to create a bit more definition and smokiness to Soba's Golden Brown colour. I've been using Urban Decay's Venus to highlight my browbone too.
For lips, I've been using a mixture of MAC's Spirit lipstick and MAC's Patisserie Lipstick for an everyday darker nude, though the majority of the time I'll pop on some lip balm and apply Spirit before patting it out a little. Both work just as well.
