Maybelline Baby Skin.

So I've recently started using Maybelline's Baby Skin instant pore eraser as a primer in my every day make-up routine.

Now, I don't really wear a lot of make-up anyway, (If I'm having a good skin day, I usually just wear BB Cream with a little powder to set) but recently I've had a couple of breakouts, nothing too major, but enough to make me want to wear foundation for extra coverage.

The problem I have can be summed up into two words; Combination Skin.

My skin can get really oily throughout the day, so make-up and my face tend not to be the closest of friends, BUT if I don't apply moisturiser then my skin will literally begin to flake off because it get's so dry...yeah, work that one out!

So I've been using the Baby Skin as my everyday primer, applying it to my face after cleansing, toning and moisturising but before my make-up. It comes out in a translucent gel-like consistency and I like to apply it in my t-zone area (forehead, between my eyebrows, nose, sides of my nose and my chin) where I get the most oily. It glides on easily and leaves my face literally feeling like baby skin it's that smooth.

It provides a nice base for my foundation and I find that my make-up sits better and looks better when I'm wearing Baby Skin, and it makes my make-up last a hell of a lot longer than if I was just to apply foundation straight after moisturising.

Now, it doesn't work miracles, I do still look a little oily throughout the day, but nowhere near as bad as I do without some sort of primer. In the past, I've also used Benefit's PoreFessional which I also really liked but Baby Skin is way more affordable at £8.00 than Benefit's PoreFessional's £24.50, and it does pretty much do the exact same job so save yourself some money guys!

Like I said earlier, I use this product on an everyday basis but if your skin isn't oily like mine (lucky you) I recommend just using it for special occasions such as birthdays or nights out to make your make-up last all night.
