Because you know I'm all about that base, 'bout that base.

It's very rare that I stick to the same foundation for any length of time. Bases are something that I like to switch up on a few-day or even daily basis to get as much use out of all the ones I own as possible. Foundations are my favourite makeup products to buy which is why I have so many, I like finding ones that deliver all of the things I didn't know I needed.
Recently however, I've found that I've been reaching for the same foundation/concealer combo everyday for the past 2ish weeks.
There's a first time for everything I guess.
I'll be honest, when I first bought the Loreal True Match foundation it didn't exactly blow me away. Yeah alright, it was a good colour match but I found that I had to put alot of work in to make it look even semi-good on my face - it clung to dry patches and I just couldn't seem to blend it enough. Looking back, I was testing it out when my skin was going through a super dehydrated phase and no foundation other than Bourjois' Healthy Mix Serum was agreeing with my skin.
So, I decided to give it another go and I've never looked back. It makes my face look, to an extent, airbrushed. It doesn't stick to dry patches anymore, it covers redness like a dream and it requires minimal blending on my part. It's the foundation I gravitate towards when I just don't know what to do with my face - at least with this I know my base will still look decent. I like to use a flat top kabuki brush to apply it, I find these types of brushes give the most flawless finish.
Pairing it with the Bourjois Happy Light Concealer is like a match made in Heaven. They both blend seamlessly together and I find this concealer works well for both the under-eye area and blemishes.
It's nice to know that I've got a good product combination to fall back on should I ever get in a pickle when it comes to choosing a foundation to wear.
